Laparoscopic surgery helps in diagnosing and treating problems in the reproductive organs. It is minimally invasive as in a surgery a laparoscopic camera is inserted into the abdomen and the Instruments are inserted through 2 more small puncture holes.

Ultrasound, CT Scan, MRI etc are some of the investigations required by the Laparascopic surgeon to make a diagnosis and treat the medical problem.

Endoscopy has advanced in recent years, enabling some forms of surgery to be conducted using a modified endoscope which makes the surgery less invasive whereas a laparoscope is a modified endoscope used for keyhole surgery (also referred to as laparoscopic surgery).
