Swallowing problems, also called dysphagia, can make it hard for a person to eat or drink properly. This can lead to weight loss, weakness, and other health issues.

Saadia Bashir, a 58-year-old woman from Kenya, had been struggling with severe swallowing difficulties due to narrowing of the food pipe that had occurred as a side effect of radiation therapy and affected her ability to eat and stay healthy. Wanting better treatment, she and her son decided to travel to India for expert medical care.
