Chronic Myeloid Leukaemia (CML) is a type of blood cancer that originates in the bone marrow. While men are slightly more likely to be diagnosed with CML compared to women, the good news is that the global death rate for this disease has shown a slight decrease in recent years. This improvement is most likely due to advancements in treatment options.
Unexplained weight loss, a common symptom of this condition, became a concern for Mr. Lavindra Singh. Despite seeking help from local doctors, they suggested exploring treatment options abroad for an exact diagnosis of his condition.
Following a friend's suggestion, Mr. Lavindra Singh contacted us seeking help with his medical condition. We responded promptly to his online inquiry and assigned him a dedicated case manager to guide him. After understanding his situation, our case manager recommended that he get treatment in India.
Mr. Lavindra, determined to find a solution, agreed to Vaidam's recommendation and travelled to India with his father. He consulted with Dr. Gaurav Dixit, a Hematologist specialising in blood disorders. Following a series of tests, Dr. Dixit diagnosed him with Chronic Myeloid Leukaemia (CML).
The good news was that the CML was in an early stage and considered highly treatable with medication alone. Dr. Dixit prescribed a one-year course of medication to manage the condition effectively.
Delighted with the care Mr. Lavindra Singh received, his father also decided to seek treatment at a Vaidam-recommended facility. Fortunately, his father was able to address a pre-existing eye condition by undergoing cataract surgery at Centre For Sight, Gurgaon.
They both stayed for 3 weeks in India and were delighted with our services.
The son expressed his gratitude saying "Now I'm doing very well, and my reports are showing very good results. Vaidam is so nice. You will not have to struggle when you come to India."
We hope Mr. Lavindra and his father received good care during their visit and wish they both make a fast recovery.
