Dr. Kesava Ananth Ramakrishnan

Dr. Kesava Ananth Ramakrishnan is an esteemed Senior Consultant in Pediatric Intensive Care (PICU) at Burjeel Medical City, Abu Dhabi, offering 20 years of high-acuity clinical experience managing critically ill infants, children, and adolescents.

Following basic pediatric training in India, he completed higher specialist training in pediatric critical care in the UK and Australia, achieving Dual Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in Pediatrics and Critical Care Medicine. He has directed tertiary PICU services in major teaching hospitals in the UK and UAE.

Clinical Expertise & Key Focus Areas:

• Advanced hemodynamic monitoring and veno-arterial/veno-venous extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO)
• High-frequency oscillatory ventilation, non-invasive ventilation, and acute respiratory distress management
• Post-operative critical care stabilization following complex pediatric cardiac and neurosurgical procedures
• Management of severe septic shock, multiple organ dysfunction syndrome (MODS), and pediatric trauma
