. Yes, Z plasty is a very safe and effective procedure which has been used o correc  the deformity in patients who want to get operated within a short time and recovery should be quick. This procedure has got low complication rate and the  effect on the overall appearance of the face is minimal.

The fundamental unit of Z plasty is the triangular double transpositional flap. There are also elements of rotation and  advancement. Three incisions of equal length are used to create two equal triangles flap.

After the procedure patients are required to take care of their wound one to two weeks after surgery. It  will take around a few weeks to months to recover completely.
