Prof. Dr. Kapali Neelamegam

Prof. Dr. Kapali Neelamegam is Clinical Lead & Senior Consultant - Surgical Gastroenterology, HPB Surgery, MAS & Multiorgan Transplantation at SRM Prime Hospital, Ramapuram, Chennai. He has more than 35 years of clinical experience.

He is a surgical gastroenterologist known for his work in HPB surgery, gastrointestinal oncology and multi-organ transplantation. Trained at centres in the UK, USA and Ireland, he is recognised for pioneering work in laparoscopic GI oncology and liver transplantation in India and for integrating robotic and minimally invasive techniques. His GI cancer practice covers oesophageal, gastric, colorectal, liver and pancreatic cancers. He has also served as a senior professor and advisor to medical institutions.
