Dr. Satyakam Baruah

Dr. Satyakam Baruah is a neurosurgeon at Amrita Hospital, Faridabad, where he is Senior Consultant and Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery and in charge of the Comprehensive Epilepsy Surgery and Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery service. He has over two decades in medicine, including more than ten years in neurosurgery.

He completed his MBBS at Silchar Medical College, his MS in General Surgery at Gauhati Medical College and his MCh in Neurosurgery at NIMHANS, Bengaluru. He trained further as a Clinical Fellow in Epilepsy Surgery at the Montreal Neurological Institute, Canada.

His work covers epilepsy surgery, brain tumour surgery, functional neurosurgery, neuroendoscopy and minimally invasive spine surgery. He also teaches DNB Neurosurgery residents at Amrita Hospital.

Clinical Focus

A central part of his work is surgery for epilepsy that does not respond to medicines, building on his fellowship at the Montreal Neurological Institute.
