Successful OPD Camp in Cameroon: Expert Care by Dr. Jayesh Sardhara
Cameroon has a rich culture and a growing need for better healthcare services. To help meet this need, Vaidam Health and S.L. Raheja Hospital, a Fortis Associate, organised a successful two-day OPD camp in Yaounde, Cameroon.
The camp was held on 14th and 15th May 2025, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, at Complexe Hospitalier La Mamu. It offered the residents of Yaounde and nearby regions the opportunity to consult Dr. Jayesh Sardhara, a leading neurosurgeon from India.
Expert Neurology Consultations by Dr. Jayesh Sardhara
With over 15 years of experience, Dr. Jayesh Sardhara brought his deep expertise and patient-centred approach to the camp. His visit to Cameroon created an invaluable platform for patients seeking answers to complex neurological and spine-related conditions.
He offered expert consultations for various neurological and spinal conditions, including brain tumours, epilepsy, hydrocephalus, and brain cysts, as well as spinal issues like herniated discs, scoliosis, spinal tumours, injuries, and chronic back pain.
Strong Patient Turnout and Encouraging Feedback
Around 25 patients attended the OPD camp, many of them suffering from long-standing neurological or spine problems. They were pleased with Dr. Sardhara’s straightforward advice, kind nature, and expert care. Patients felt thankful to receive such quality consultation close to home, without needing to travel.
Looking Ahead
The success of this OPD camp reflects the growing value of international medical collaborations in improving access to quality healthcare. Vaidam Health, in partnership with S.L. Raheja Hospital, is committed to bridging healthcare gaps by bringing expert Indian doctors to underserved regions.
Encouraged by the positive response in Cameroon, they plan to organise more such medical camps across Africa. These efforts aim to make specialised care more accessible and support patients who otherwise lack advanced treatment options.
