Successful IVF Medical Camp in Zambia with Dr. Neha Gupta from Mediworld Fertility Center, India
Zambia, a country in Southern Africa, is continuously working to improve its healthcare services, particularly in assisted reproductive technology, mainly IVF. Despite having a few IVF centres, the country faces challenges related to expertise and infrastructure, which impact the success rates of fertility treatments.
To resolve these concerns, Vaidam organised a medical camp in Zambia in collaboration with Mediworld Fertility Center. The camp took place on August 12th and 13th at St. Johns Medical Center, Lusaka. Our main goal was to provide advanced reproductive care and support to those struggling with conceiving naturally. Additionally, it focused on improving the accuracy of diagnoses and treatment plans for these individuals.
At the camp, a high number of patients shared their enthusiasm and satisfaction with the consultations they received, highlighting the camp as a valuable experience. They eagerly expressed a strong desire for more such events in the future.
Additionally, patients suggested that holding these camps on weekends would be highly beneficial, as it aligns better with their availability and maximises participation.
Dr. Neha Gupta: IVF Specialist Behind the Camp’s Success
Dr. Neha Gupta led the camp, bringing over 19 years of valuable experience in her field. She has received numerous notable recognitions, including the IVF and Gynecology Award from Star News in May 2019. Her specialisation has earned her membership in prestigious associations such as the Federation of Obstetric and Gynaecological Societies of India (FOGSI) and the Indian Fertility Society (IFS).
She is an expert in several critical areas of reproductive medicine. Her specialisation includes managing poor responders in IVF, addressing repeated implantation failures, and handling cases of repeated pregnancy losses. She also provides comprehensive care for high-risk pregnancies and performs advanced laparoscopic surgeries.
She provided consultations for patients experiencing a range of gynaecological issues, including fallopian tube blockage, low ovarian reserve, and challenges with conception.
Takeaway
We are happy to announce that this camp helped more than 50 patients, offering valuable consultations and addressing common fertility issues. This positive response has given us a boost in arranging more such camps in the country.
Our sincere admiration also goes to Mediworld IVF Center and Fertility, India and St. John's Medical Center for their crucial role in making this camp a success. Everyone involved played a key role, and we at Vaidam are grateful for each of their contributions. Additionally, we want to express our gratitude to Dr. Neha Gupta for her exceptional leadership and expertise.
