A Successful Gynaecological and Reproductive Health Camp by Vaidam Health in Cameroon

In regions where specialised healthcare is scarce, particularly in the fields of gynaecology and reproductive health, many patients face significant challenges. To bridge this gap and bring world-class care closer to those in need, Vaidam Health, in partnership with Mediworld Fertility, launched a transformative three-day medical camp at Complexe Hospitalier La Mamu, Yaoundé, Cameroon.

Held from April 23rd to April 25th, 2025, this camp offered expert consultations for various gynaecological concerns and empowered patients with the knowledge and treatment options they need to improve their reproductive health.

Expert Consultation by Dr. Neha Gupta

Dr. Neha Gupta, a leading expert in Gynaecology and Reproductive Health, led the medical camp. She offered consultations for a wide range of conditions, such as recurrent pregnancy loss, fallopian tube blockage, fibroids, ovarian cysts, and more.

Her friendly nature and simple explanations helped patients clearly understand their health problems and possible treatments. With years of experience in managing complex gynaecological issues, Dr. Gupta provided personalised care plans that addressed both medical and emotional needs. For many women in Yaoundé, it was a rare and valuable chance to access world-class expertise close to home.

Impact of the Camp

More than 40 patients visited the camp for help with their gynaecological problems. Dr. Gupta listened carefully, performed thorough check-ups, and explained treatment options clearly. After the session, patients felt more informed and secure about their health.

Patients gave extremely positive feedback, and many said they would like to see more camps like this in Cameroon. The attendees valued the personal attention and expert care they received. Patients were able to learn more about their problems and consider different treatment options that could enhance their quality of life, which made the camp an empowering experience.

Takeaway

The success of this gynaecological and reproductive health camp was a crucial milestone in Vaidam Health's goal to provide underprivileged areas with access to top-notch medical treatment.  We are already planning more health camps in Cameroon and other places where people need specialist care. By working together, we aim to make quality gynaecological and reproductive healthcare available to more people.
