Shalby Hospital and Vaidam Health Host Successful Liver Specialist Camp in Kyrgyzstan
In a continued effort to make world-class medical care accessible to people beyond borders, Vaidam Health, in partnership with Shalby Multi-Speciality Hospitals, successfully hosted a two-day OPD camp on 25th and 26th November 2024 at Teslamed Diagnostic Centre, Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.
Led by Renowned Liver Specialist
Dr. Shailendra Lalvani, a renowned Hepatologist from Shalby Hospitals, supervised the camp and provided consultations to individuals with various liver-related disorders. He offered consultations to patients suffering from conditions such as Cirrhosis, Liver Failure, Fatty Liver, Fibrosis, Liver Cancer, and Enlarged Liver.
Many patients who attended the camp received their first-ever direct, in-depth consultations and professional advice on diagnosis, lifestyle modifications, and treatment options.
Overwhelming Patient Response
Over 40 patients attended the camp during the two days. The positive attendance demonstrated the region's demand for this kind of specialised care.
The response was heartwarming! People were so thankful. They claimed that it was remarkable and very beneficial to receive this type of professional guidance straight from an Indian expert. Many reported feeling more positive about the future and finally having a better understanding of their health issues. Additionally, a number of them asked that more camps of this kind be held in the future, particularly in underprivileged communities.
Looking Ahead: Expanding Access to Expert Care
The camp's success shows that Kyrgyzstan communities are willing to accept the high demand for specialist medical care in the country. Vaidam Health is committed to continuing its efforts to make top-notch medical care accessible to those who need it most.
A big thanks to Dr. Lalvani and Shalby Hospitals for making this possible! Vaidam Health continues to connect patients with expert care, making quality healthcare accessible across borders. It will continue working to organise similar camps in Kyrgyzstan and other neighboring countries in the near future.
