A cancer diagnosis is overwhelming, not just for the person with cancer, but for their whole family. Mariatu Munu, a 50-year-old woman from Sierra Leone, was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer, and her family was heartbroken. Her family tried to look for the treatment in their home country, but they didn’t have access to the kind of advanced treatment she urgently needed.
