Tell us about the treatment you took?

I wanted a thorough health check from the best cardiology hospitals in India. I had been facing pain and numbness in my feet, I am a diabetic and I was earlier diagnosed with heart issues.

How did you select the hospital and the doctor?

I had been traveling to India for business and personal reasons so I was familiar with the country. I was looking for a new place and contacted Vaidam health. I was offered the option in Mumbai and New Delhi region. I choose Artemis Hospital in Gurgaon as it was JCI accredited, its platinum health package included everything that I wanted. I also liked the Specialists who would consult me after the tests.

How was your experience in getting the Visa?

Since I had been visiting India, Visa was not a problem. I traveled to India with my Wife.

How did you decide the place of stay?

I needed a comfortable stay and wanted things to be pre-booked. I took the travel package from Emirates Air. It included business class travel, pick-up and drop from Airport and stay. Vaidam advised me hotels and I picked Hilton Hotel, at 5 minutes driving distance from the hospital.

Tell us about your experience with the doctor and hospital.

The package had 40 tests including MRI, ECG, Colonscopy, PFT and Sugar. The tests were done over a period of 3 days. On the 4th day, I had sessions with General Physician, Cardiologist and Orthopaedic. I discussed my concerns about medicines, possible surgeries etc. I was satisfied with the recommendations from Specialists and the best cardiologists in India. On arriving and seeing the facilities, even my wife took the platinum health checkup package.

How many days did you stay in the hospital?

I didn't stay in the hospital. The team from Vaidam would pick and drop us every day. They stood by us throughout the time spent in the hospital and I benefitted from their expertise.

What did you do after the stay?

The second half of the day would usually be free. I visited a few places of interest otherwise I would rest in the hotel for most of the time. After the tests were done I visited Amritsar, around 350 Kms from New Delhi for 2 days.

Any suggestion to people traveling to India for treatment?

1. Be sure of the number of days you will be spending for the treatment. And keep some extra days in hand.
2. Be sure to collect all reports, CDs of the test. It helps if the hospital has an online portal for patients. Artemis has it.
3. Make sure you meet the Specialists after the tests. It generally happens at the end so keep time for that.
