Jacob Donfak’s Journey from Cameroon to India for Successful Prostate Cancer Surgery

Jacob Donfak, a 69-year-old from Cameroon, had been suffering from prostate cancer for nearly one and a half years. He had been experiencing symptoms like difficulties urinating, elevated PSA levels, and obstructive lower urinary tract symptoms. After not receiving proper care in his home country, he began looking for treatment abroad.

Jacob discovered Vaidam Health through one of his cousins,  who had already received successful treatment through them. He underwent Robotic-Assisted Radical Prostatectomy with Bilateral Pelvic Lymph Node Dissection. The surgery went successfully, and he was shifted to the ICU for monitoring and then moved to a regular ward where he received adequate support from the hospital team and Vaidam’s team.

Jacob arrived in India with his wife and stayed for 21 days for his treatment and rehabilitation. He was impressed by the hospital staff's professionalism and concern. He also commended the Vaidam Health team for their coordination and emotional support during his medical journey.
