Heart, Spine & Brain OPD Consultation Camp by Vaidam Health and Amrita Hospital in Jinja, Uganda
Access to specialised care for heart, spine, and brain conditions remains limited in many parts of Uganda. Patients experiencing symptoms such as chest discomfort, breathlessness, persistent back pain, weakness, or neurological concerns often find it difficult to consult senior specialists at an early stage.
Timely evaluation by experienced doctors can be essential for understanding these conditions and planning appropriate care. With this objective, Vaidam Health, in collaboration with Amrita Hospital, organised a two-day multispeciality OPD Consultation Camp in Jinja, Uganda, bringing expert medical guidance closer to patients.
The camp was held on 12th and 13th December 2025 at Pan Medical Services, Jinja, with the support of senior Indian specialists.
Purpose of the OPD Consultation Camp
The OPD consultation camp was organised to help patients:
- Consult experienced specialists without the need to travel abroad
- Gain clarity about their diagnosis and symptoms
- Review existing medical reports and imaging studies
- Understand whether further treatment or surgery may be required
- Learn about treatment options in India, if medically advised
The focus of the consultations was on patient education, clear guidance, and informed decision-making, without any pressure to proceed with treatment.
