Dr. Mukesh Patekar Leads Successful Cancer OPD Camp Delivering Expert Care in Vanuatu
Vanuatu, known for its serene landscapes and warm culture, has also shown a growing need for better access to specialised healthcare. To address this, Vaidam Health, in association with Artemis Hospital, Gurgaon, India, successfully organised a one-day cancer OPD camp in Port Vila, Vanuatu.
The camp was held on June 7, 2025, at the Vanuatu Private Hospital, located on Rue Dartois. The initiative brought internationally recognised cancer expertise closer to home for many local patients.
Expert Oncology Consultations by Dr. Mukesh Patekar
Dr. Mukesh Patekar, Senior Cancer Specialist at Artemis Hospital, led the consultation camp. With over 19 years of experience in treating complex cancer cases, Dr. Patekar offered expert evaluations for conditions such as Breast Cancer, Lung Cancer, Stomach & Liver Cancer, Cervical Cancer, Prostate Cancer, and Blood Cancers.
Strong Patient Turnout and Community Response
The camp saw the participation of over 20 patients from the local community. Many individuals and families came seeking second opinions, while others hoped to gain a better understanding of troubling symptoms.
Dr. Mukesh Patekar offered detailed, compassionate consultations, providing patients with much-needed clarity and guidance. Throughout the day, Vaidam Health’s team assisted with registrations and interpretation, ensuring a seamless experience for all attendees.
Looking Ahead
The success of this OPD camp reflects the growing value of international medical collaborations in improving access to quality healthcare. Vaidam Health, in partnership with Medanta Hospital, is committed to bridging healthcare gaps by bringing expert Indian doctors to underserved regions.
Encouraged by the positive response in Vanuatu, Vaidam plans to organise more such medical camps. These efforts aim to make specialised care more accessible and support patients who otherwise lack advanced treatment options.
