Doctors at Artemis Hospital Removes the Largest Spine Tumor Weighing 6Kgs from Iraqi Patient

Tilting Razzak's posture, the tumor almost rendered him disabled

Abdul Razzak from Karvala, Iraq, suffered from a spine tumor that weighed 6kgs.
The tumor developed from the D10 vertebral column cramming his lungs, liver and chest wall.
Claimed to be the largest spinal tumor, it tilted Razzak's posture and intervened in his movement, rendering him disabled.
Due to the presence of complications, several hospitals in his home country refused to operate it.
Orthopedic and spine surgeon at Artemis Hospital, Dr. Hitesh Garg said that the surgerical procedure was strewn with complications due to the position and size of the tumor.
The team of doctors also had to protect the several nerves, large blood vessels of the patient along with his lungs.
As said by Dr. Himanshu Tyagi, orthopedic and spine surgery consultant at the hospital, the sole purpose of the surgery was to remove the tumor without damaging the adjacent tissues.
The entire tumor was removed successfully.
Razzak started to walk from the very next day post surgery.
