When Mr. Mamoudou Bah, a 31-year-old man from Gambia, started facing problems with his right eye after an accident, daily life became difficult. He experienced constant watering, infection, and a visible eye misalignment that affected his comfort and confidence.
Looking for specialised treatment, he explored medical tourism in India and contacted Vaidam to understand his options. Since he needed more than one eye procedure, he wanted treatment at a hospital where experienced specialists could manage everything in one place.
Mr. Bah travelled to India alone for treatment. Before his arrival, the Vaidam team coordinated his medical journey by assisting with hospital appointments, treatment planning, airport transfers, accommodation, food arrangements, and other essential support, making the entire process smoother and more comfortable for him.
After reaching the Centre for Sight in Delhi, doctors carefully evaluated his condition. He was diagnosed with dacryocystitis and tear duct blockage in the right eye, along with an orbital floor fracture related to his earlier injury.
Under the care of Dr. Sreedhara Naik, Mr. Bah underwent DCR surgery with orbital fracture repair on 31 March 2026. The procedure was done to clear the blocked tear duct and repair the damaged bone beneath the eye.
After recovering from the first procedure, he underwent squint surgery on 15 April 2026, performed by Dr. Pradeep Sharma, to improve the alignment of his right eye.
Mr. Bah stayed in India for approximately 21 days, allowing enough time for both surgeries, recovery, and follow-up consultations. Although he travelled alone, he remained positive throughout his treatment journey.
Sharing his experience, Mr Bah said:
“I came to India alone for treatment, but the entire journey was managed very smoothly. The doctors explained my condition clearly, and I am truly thankful to the Vaidam team for their support and care throughout my treatment.”
Today, Mr. Bah has completed both procedures and returned home with improved eye health and a recovery plan for continued healing. His journey reflects how eye surgery for international patients can be successfully managed through expert care and proper medical coordination.
Vaidam wishes Mr. Mamoudou Bah good health, a smooth recovery, and continued wellness ahead.
