Country of Origin: Algeria
Doctor Name: Dr. Ratnav Ratan

Master Merabet from Algeria was diagnosed with Perthes disease in his early childhood. He had pain and difficulties in the abduction movement of his legs. In pursuit of the best possible medical care for him, his parents contacted Vaidam Health, and we advised them to come to India for the treatment.
We arranged medical visa invitation letters for the child, his mother, and his maternal uncle. They came to India and consulted Dr. Ratnav Ratan, a renowned Pediatric Orthopedic Surgeon with over 13 years of experience as a specialist. The surgeon advised a hip reconstruction surgery.
The right hip was in a better condition and was managed with needle core decompression and stem cell injection. However, the left hip had deteriorated to a greater extent. Apart from the needle core decompression and stem cell injection, it also required adductor tenotomy and trochanteric epiphysiodesis.
All the procedures are a part of hip reconstruction and were successfully performed at the Manipal Hospital, Gurgaon. He also received physiotherapy at the hospital. The family members of Merabet were happy with the surgeon's skills and the quality of treatment they received at the hospital.
They stayed in India for about two months. We assisted them with all their medical needs and helped them have a stress-free medical tourism experience.
We hope the child recovers quickly and can have a playful childhood!
