After a Wonderful Cardiac Treatment in India, Deo Raj from Fiji Narrates How His Medical Trip Experience Has Been

Held down by a heart attack, Deo Raj from Fiji suffered from triple ventricular disease for the past six months. In the hunt for a proper treatment, he along with his wife, Vina Raj, finally arrived in India.

When did you start looking for treatment options outside Fiji?

Initially, I suffered from shortness of breath that had aggravated after the heart attack. There were not many options available in Fiji and I wanted to have my treatment at the best healthcare facility. So, I looked for the right options online and saw Vaidam Health’s website. I filled my query and got a response immediately after.

How was your treatment in India?

The treatment went well. Dr. Naresh Trehan and his team at Medanta – the Medicity were wonderful and extremely professional. Dr. Trehan suggested that I undergo a CABG surgery along with IABP. His diagnosis was so on point that I gave in and here I am, heal and hearty again, after a successful surgery. I would also like to add that Medanta is an excellent hospital with very advanced infrastructure and it was really a good experience.

How did Vaidam assist you on your medical trip to India?

Right from the time I have reached out to them till the last day of this medical trip, Vaidam has consistently been there for me and my wife. The team solved each of my queries with due diligence, provided me with multiple choices for hospitals and doctors, guided me in the application of visa, and even arranged a special stay for my wife in the hospital when my treatment was going on. As I had to stay in the ICU for some extra days, they even negotiated the prices for it. We are really grateful to Vaidam for such excellent assistance. My wife even wanted to stay for some more time to do some sightseeing and shopping but I need to take rest so have to go back. But we will surely revisit India again later.

Mrs. Vina Raj’s birthday was also celebrated here. How was the whole experience?

The celebration was truly memorable. Everything was so well arranged by the team of Vaidam. It was really special because Vina’s birthday is celebrated for the first time in India. The celebration was also like a delightful amalgamation of many other patients who have come here for their treatment. So, amidst all the weighty and serious exchanges of treatments and different medical problems, it was like a positive relief in which everybody enjoyed. We loved it and are thankful to Vaidam for such a pleasant surprise and of course for the medical trip.
