• Phenylketonuria: It is caused by a deficiency of the phenylalanine hydroxylase enzyme. It can result in retardation, organ damage, and complications during pregnancy.
• Lesch Nyhan Syndrome: It is an inherited metabolic disorder that occurs from impaired metabolism of purines that are an integral part of DNA and RNA.
• Maple Syrup Urine Disease: It is related to the urine of distinct odour and caused by incomplete metabolism of amino acids.
• Lysosomal Storage Disease: It is a state of incomplete degradation of catabolic compounds.
