The duration of hospital stay and post-hospital recovery for cancer treatment patients can vary depending on multiple factors, such as the type of cancer, the patient's health, the treatment received, and any complications that may arise. For less invasive procedures, the stay will be 1-3 days, while for major surgeries, the stay will be 5-10 days or longer.

The presence of an ICU is necessary for the care of cancer patients. Cancer patients need continuous monitoring as they experience life-threatening complications such as severe infections, respiratory disease, organ failure, etc. ICU provide advanced support and timely interventions to stabilise their conditions.

If cancer surgery is not successful or suitable for a patient, other alternative approaches can be considered, such as chemotherapy, radiation therapy, targeted therapy, hormone therapy, immunotherapy, and biological therapy.
