• Khon Kean Hospital is an award-winning hospital founded in 1947 located in the city of Khon Kaen, the northern region of Thailand.
• Since its inception, it has evolved progressively to a primary and advanced tertiary care hospital that covers health promotion, disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and holistic rehabilitation.
• It has established integrated medical and surgical services with departments like Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Paediatrics, General Surgery, Cardiovascular, Oncology, ENT, Ophthalmology, Gastroenterology, Vascular Surgery, Genitourinary Surgery, and Emergency.
• It has Centres of Expertise namely, Surgery, Paediatrics, Emergency, Heart Centre, Cancer Centre, Organ Transplant Centre, and Medical Centre.
• In 2018, the hospital received a plaque for outstanding service in the field of morality, it received the runner-up prize of the UN Service Award from the work “Fast-track Service for High-risk Pregnancies in Region 7” in 2015, and it won the UN Service Award for the work of "One-Stop Crisis Center: OSCC" in 2014.
• It successfully managed to separate the Siamnon-Nun twins, the first pair of Siamese twins with only one set of the biliary tract, becoming the 10th case in the world.
