About Dr. Wattana Mahattanakul

  • Dr. Wattana Mahattanakul is a leading Neurosurgeon with +26 years of experience in the field of neurosurgery.
  • After his MBBS from the The Royal Free Hospital, UK, in the 1980s, he took his inter-collegiate board examination from the Royal College of Surgeons in 1988. In 1998, he did his B.Sc from the Royal Free Hospital. In 1999, he took the membership of the Royal College of Surgeons examination. In 2008, he completed his fellowship which was a combined neurosurgical and orthopedic fellowship. In 2009, he completed his fellowship in advanced surgery.
  • Dr. Mahattanakul is a specialist of combined spinal procedures and cerebrovascular surgeries. His scope of work also includes performing craniotomy, cranioplasty, cerebral angioplasty, skull base surgery and brain tumour surgeries. He also treats brain and spine injuries.
