Dr. Prithika Chary is a well-renowned and experienced Neurosurgeon with more than 45 years of experience in this field.
She is the first and only lady in India to be qualified and practice as both a Neurophysician and a Neurosurgeon, and she has successfully treated more than 25,000 patients till now.
Her area of expertise lies in treating brain-related disorders like stroke, epilepsy, dementia, parkinsonism, developmental delay in children, speech disorders, and aphasiology.
Dr. Prithika completed her MBBS in 1971 and MD in Internal Medicine in 1974 from Govt. Madras Medical College, Madras.
After this, she also did DM in Neurology in 1978 from Govt. Madras Medical College, Madras, and Ph.D in Neurology in 1981 from the University of Madras, Madras.
She also earned an MNAMS in Neurology in 1989, Conferred by the National Board of Examinations, New Delhi, and an MCh in Neurosurgery in 1990 from Dr. MGR Medical University, Chennai.
She is a pioneer in Epilepsy surgery and has treated over 100 patients since 1998.
