One of the key founders of the Indian Society of Neuro-Oncology (ISNO), an academic forum for all health professionals involved in brain tumours. Completed two consecutive terms as its first founding General Secretary since its inception in 2008 and has now completed his term as the President of the society. Currently serves as Chair of the Senior Advisory Council. Delivered the prestigious invited NIMHANS Dr. Subhadra Dayanand Rao oration on 29th June 2017 at NIMHANS, Bengaluru. Key leader for establishing the Sub Saharan African Society of Neuro Oncology and the South American Society of Neuro Oncology. Chaired the ISNO national consensus guidelines for medulloblastoma 2015-16. Award for Excellence in Paediatric Clinical Research” of the 19th Annual Scientific meeting of the Society of Neuro Oncology (SNO) 2014. Award for Excellence in Quality of Life Research” of the Annual Scientific meetings of the Society of Neuro-Oncology (SNO) 2007 and 2012 at the SNO meeting at Dallas and Washington,D.C, respectively. President, Asian Society for Neuro-Oncology (ASNO) for 2012-13.

•  Worked as Sub Investigator in A Randomized double blind placebo controlled multicenter phase III study of post operative adjuvant Lapatinib or placebo & concurrent chemo radiation followed by maintenance Lapatinib or placebo monotherapy in high risk subjects with resected squamous cell carcinoma of head and neck from august 2009
