He specializes in osteotomies, arthrodesis of joints, closed and open reductions of congenital dislocation of the hip, surgery for spastic palsy, and total knee & hip replacements.
After completing his MBBS from Alexandria University in 1969, he did a fellowship from the Royal College of Surgeons of England and the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 1975.
He received an Honorary FRCS from the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Glasgow in 2005.
