- Dr. Naik did his MBBS in 1997 from BJ Medical College, Ahmedabad. He undertook advanced studies at Dr. Sheth K L Hospital in 2001. He then pursued DNB at Apollo Hospitals, Chennai in 2007 and a fellowship in 2009 at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Sydney. He then worked as an observer at Heartcentre, Leipzig, Germany and learnt MIS cardiac surgeries.
- Some his well-known cardiac procedures are, heart transplants, cardiothoracic surgery, cardiovascular surgery, cardiac surgery, pediatric cardiac surgery, pediatric cardiothoracic surgery, Redo CABG and valvular surgery. Some of the adult cardiac surgries that he performs are, aortic aneurysm surgery, CABG, heart tumour and other complex heart surgeries.
- Dr. Naik along with other teammates performed 25 heart transplants, and has several firsts to his credit as a surgeon attached to CIMS Hospital Ahmedabad. Some of these record achievements are, the first hospital to perform heart transplant in Gujarat; to put first LVAD; to perform TAVI and perform hybrid CABG in the state.
