Prof. Dr. Ahmed El-Barky is a renowned Consultant Vitreo-Retinal Surgeon and Head of Ophthalmology at Burjeel Hospital, Abu Dhabi. With over 25 years of surgical excellence, he is recognized regionally for his mastery of micro-incisional vitreoretinal surgery and advanced anterior segment reconstructions.

He earned his Doctor of Medicine (MD) in Ophthalmology from the Faculty of Medicine at Benha University, Egypt, subsequently serving as Professor of Ophthalmology. Prof. El-Barky has completed advanced vitreo-retinal surgical training, operating on thousands of complex cases of retinal tears, severe diabetic tractional detachments, and intraocular trauma.
