Vestibulectomy Cost in Turkey

The success rate of vestibulectomy surgery is very high but it is considered as a valuable option for those women having neuroproliferative vestibulodynia.

Vestibulectomy surgery is done for excision of the part of the vestibule which is being located just above urethral meatus. This is described as a surgery done on the left and right or on an anterior and posterior vestibule by making a advance flap in vaginal region.

You can go for vestibulectomy procedure if your symptoms persists up to six months or even more and this procedure is known to occur in every 6 months in vestibulitis.

Vestibulectomy is being done under general anaesthesia. The patient’s vulva, vagina, and vestibules are located and properly cleaned . A magnifying surgical loupe alongside a headlight with a large ray of light is worn for a proper view of the patient’s vaginal opening. Just above the urethral opening on both sides to Hart’s line. The line is marked laterally to the edge of the posterior angle of the fourchette which extends to the hymen around the vaginal opening indicating the area to be operated on. A surgical retractor and specialized surgical hooks are used to split and hold the area of the incision. The tissues of the vestibular are carefully removed taking note of the urethral meatus to prevent intrusion and then the left lateral vestibule are removed. Suture is being placed so that there is no excessive bleeding.

Vestibulectomy has some potential complications such as bleeding, infection, pain, hematoma, wound separation and formation of scar tissue.

Patient are advised to do regular icing in that region or few days so that the area should be clean there should be no swelling and pain, stitches should be dissolve on its own.

Infection, bleeding, weakness in the anal muscle, reduction in lubrication of vagina and cyst formation are some of the risks involved in vestibulectomy surgery.

You can return back to your work one to two week after surgery till that time you should avoid doing strenuous activity.
