The medicines cost is included in the package during your stay in the hospital. If you buy medicines from outside, you have to pay additional charges. 

Knee implants are made of metal alloys, ceramic material, and strong plastic parts. The surgeon will use the design according to your knee problem, weight, and activity level. The costs of all knee implants vary from each other.

A typical hospital stay is 1-2 days and can be longer if needed. Some patients may be able to go home the same day of their surgery if the medical team feels everything is safe. During the hospital stay, physical and occupational therapy is needed for recovery. You need to visit your surgeon two weeks post-surgery. The follow-up visits continue after six weeks, three months, and one-year post-surgery. 

It will take up to 12 months to fully recover from revision single knee replacement surgery. Physiotherapy sessions should be continued for a minimum of two months after the surgery. About three weeks after the surgery, you can walk without crutches for about 10 minutes. If you feel uncomfortable, it is better to visit your surgeon. Revision surgery is not included in the package when the patient undergoes primary knee replacement surgery.  

Insurance companies usually cover revision knee replacement surgery. It is better to talk to your healthcare professional about the policy.

Complete pain relief and restoration of function are not always achievable after the revision surgery. You can go for regular physical therapy if you still experience pain or knee stiffness after the surgery.
