A renal artery aneurysm(RAA) is a dilated segment of renal artery that exceeds twice the diameter of a normal renal artery which causes hypertension, pain, hematuria, and renal infarction

During the procedure transverse abdominal incision is made; the renal veins and the main renal artery were carefully dissected out into the primary branches with careful collection of the RAA. After cross-clamping the main renal artery , the aneurysm is opened and the excess wall excised. The branch that originated off of the RAA was sewn over the defect in the main renal artery and the other branch to reconstruct the bifurcation. After the anastomosis was completed, flow is restored and confirmed through Doppler ultrasound.
