Hip arthroscopy is an outpatient procedure, and you can go home the same day after the procedure. You may need to wear a brace on your hip for around three weeks. Your first appointment will be scheduled two to four weeks after the surgery. 

You can fully recover from a hip arthroscopy in around six weeks, and your exact time depends on why you need surgery. You will also need physical therapy for a few months after the surgery. If you feel severe post-operative pain or stiffness, it can be due to failed hip arthroscopy. Consult your doctor as early as possible for further treatment. This treatment can cost extra.

Luckily, hip arthroscopy is covered under a health insurance policy, and coverage is also offered for pre and post-hospitalization costs.

You can go for regular physical therapy and take painkillers, but hip arthroscopy is the only option if the condition is serious.
