Glenn procedure Cost in India

All the medicines are included in the package when the patient is hospitalized. The medicines taken for recovery later are not covered in the package. 

The surgery takes 4-5 hours, and you need to stay in the hospital for 1 to 2 weeks after the surgery. You will need to see a doctor six to eight weeks after the surgery for follow-ups. 

The pain after Glenn's procedure lasts a few weeks. If your child seems uncomfortable, rub their head and give Ibuprofen or Tylenol to provide relief. Depending on the heart problem, a child might need another surgery (Fontan procedure) when they are around 18-36 months old. This surgery is not included in the package.

The surgery is covered by health insurance policies but with some terms and conditions. It is better to talk to your healthcare professional beforehand.

There is no alternative to this procedure which can be performed about six months after birth following the Norwood procedure.
