Calf Implant Cost in Turkey

Mostly people go for calf implants to get shape to their legs. Some body builders go for calf implants to give a more muscular look to their legs.  While some people need to go for calf implants as a part of reconstructive and gender affirmation surgery.

There are two ways your plastic surgeon can place the calf implants:

• Subcutaneous: The calf implant goes just beneath the connective tissue between your skin and gastrocnemius calf muscle.
• Submuscular: The calf implant goes under your gastrocnemius calf muscle, making for a slightly longer.

There can be some pain due to muscle spasm which lasts for 2-4 weeks in women and 4-6 weeks in men. Heeled shoes and stretches will help in getting relief from pan.

When calf implants are inserted below the skin it provides the calf area with fullness.  This can be helpful in providing fullness to the calf region and makes your calves appear bigger in size.

Calf implants are removable with time the silicone implants may start to break down.  There is also need of surgery to replace new implant.

Calf implant surgery takes around two to three hours to complete under general anaesthesia.

Calf implant is an outpatient procedure, this can be done either both under general or local anaesthesia.  In this procedure the surgeon will make incision on the calves region and then insert the silicone implants. At last the skin is stitched back together.

You will need to take at least few days off from your work to recover from surgery.  During these 2 weeks the you should avoid exercise and stay off your feet. There can be some bruising and inflammation after surgery which goes within a couple of week.

The result of calf implant surgery are long term but they are not permanent, you may need to do the surgery again once the silicone implants have degraded.

You will have some pain and discomfort after the procedure for several days. Your lower legs will be swollen and sore. Walking may be uncomfortable at first but it is good for recovery because the blood flows in the lower leg.  The complete recovery will take about two week and you can resume your normal activity after six weeks.

You should keep your legs elevated while lying down or sitting. Apply ice pack to your legs and you should take antibiotics as prescribed by your doctor.

Results from calf implants are immediately noticeable. Still, it can take several months for the swelling to subside completely. By then, you should be able to see the full effects.
