After surgery, patients are not allowed to bear weight or walk for 6 to 10 weeks. You will be told to walk on crutches for the first few weeks after surgery.

Most of the acetabular fractures takes about 4 to 6 months of healing time, if no complication was seen at the time of surgery then patient can do their activities by themselves. By the end of six weeks patient becomes somewhat comfortable.
