- Yeouido St. Mary's Hospital was established on 11 May, 1936 with four doctors focusing on internal medicine and paediatrics. After 80 years, it has progressively evolved and expanded itself, responding to the medical needs of the environment and aiming to become a "patient-centered futuristic hospital." In 2010, its name was changed to the Catholic University of Korea Yeouido St. Mary's Hospital. The Catholic University Yeouido St. Mary's Hospital is Korea Catholic's first formal hospital.
- The Hospital is multidisciplinary with 31 Clinical departments and 15 Care Centres. Through its spiritual inclination, it offers a holistic treatment and medical service. It therefore, has a comprehensive system of care from beginning of life to the end.
- In 2011, it acquired the medical institution certificate from the Ministry of Health and Welfare for the first time.
- In 2015, the One Hospital System in which Yeouido St. Mary's Hospital and Seoul St. Mary's Hospital become one hospital was introduced. - Soon Chun Hyang University Hospital – Cheonan is a leading super-specaility, tertiary-care hospital of the central region of Korea and was founded in 1982. In its 38 years of existence, the hospital has some firsts to its credit, viz; it became the first among Korea's university hospitals to start free onsite cancer education in 2001. In 2011, the hospital opened the first day clinic of the region, followed by the first hospital in the country to launch 8-channel multi-detect spiral CT in 2003.
