According to the Uganda Bureau of Statistics, the prevalence of autism in Uganda is around 88 people per 10,000 individuals. It translates to roughly 880,000 people in a population of 10 million (based on an estimated 2024 population).

Kinaawda, a 6-year-old from Uganda, was suffering from mild Autism. Her mother, being worried about him, decided to get treatment outside her home country.
