In the first step blood is collected from patient bone marrow or peripheral blood.  Bone marrow or the blood is being processed in the laboratory to isolate, prepare and concentrate stem cells.  Stem cells are preserved at very low temperature in protective solution to keep the stem cells alive until it is ready for transportation. Patient are treated with chemotherapy or radiation therapy to destroy cancer cells and at last stem cells are rein fused in patients bone.
