- University Hospital Brno is a multispecialty hospital established on 1 January 1998 by the Founding Charter issued by the Ministry of Health.
- It is the second-largest hospital in the Czech Republic.
- It has become the first institution to treat a benign prostate tumor with steam.
- This hospital operates under the strict supervision of the Ministry of Health and is certified by ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 for its quality of services.
- It also has a hematopoietic stem cell transplant center. The European Group accredits it for Blood and Marrow Transplantation (EBMT).
- According to a survey by the HealthCare Institute, the hospital was ranked No.1 among the best 160 hospitals in the Czech Republic.
- In 2019, this hospital was awarded the best hospital in the Czech Republic regarding medical staff reviews.
