Sling procedure for urinary incontinence is being used in treating urinary incontinence, in this procedure a sling is being placed around the urethra for lifting it back to its normal position so that it exert pressure on urethra to help in retention  of urine.

Sling procedure will last upto five years or more but there are chances that the symptoms may return with time.

In traditional sling surgery a strip of tissue is being taken from your stomach or thigh to make it sling type. Then two cuts are being made one in vagina and other in belly, sling is being stretched through the cut in your stomach and then it is being stretched to inside of your stomach wall.

In men, a small cut is being made between the scortum and the anus and then a sling is put around the part of uethral bulb which will squeeze and lift the urethra and  will help in preventing leakage.
