Pelvic organ prolapsed refers to the process of descending or drooping of the organs including the bladder, uterus, vagina, small bowels  and the rectum.  These organs can prolapsed if they descend into or outside the vaginal canal or anus.

Pelvic organ prolapsed may occur due to pregnancy, labour, childbirth obesity, constipation, pelvic organ cancer and surgical removal of the uterus.
