What are the Top Recovery Tips for Brazilian Butt Lift?

Brazilian Butt Lift

The popularity and demand for Brazilian butt lift skyrocketed in the 20th century. But the surgery is most common among celebrities, actors, and models. Butt Lifts help you achieve your desired hourglass shape, perfect body contour, and youthful look in a shorter period. It is a minimally invasive procedure with long-lasting results and needs no vigorous exercise or diet plans.

Brazilian Butt Lift feels and looks more natural than implants. The body fat is liposuctioned, purified, and inserted into the buttocks in approximately two hours. But before making a choice, you must know what to expect in your recovery period. But to ensure optimal results, you need to follow post-operative instructions.

Recovery Tips For Brazilian Butt Lift

  • Wear Your Compression Garment: There is swelling around the lower back region after the surgery. Compression is the key to swelling. You are encouraged to wear a compression garment to reduce the swelling. You have to wear a compression garment for 3-4 weeks. The garment should exert appropriate pressure, or it might hamper the recovery.

  • Avoid Sitting Down: The most challenging part of recovery is to avoid sitting down on your buttocks. It is a common mistake as the first instinct is to sit down as soon as we see a seat or are tired. It is critical to avoid sitting in your initial phase because it hampers healing. In initial healing days, transplanted cells will begin to heal and grow. Reabsorption of 30-40% of new fat cells occurs during this period. It is advisable not to exert pressure on the new cells because it inhibits blood flow. And it will lead to the dying or shifting of cells affecting the final result of surgery. In some cases, undesired indentations occur.

Here are a few tips that will help you in your recovery phase:

- Use a doughnut-shaped pillow. Doughnut-shaped pillows will relieve pressure.

- Only sit for up to three minutes during the first few weeks.

- Avoid sleeping on your front or back.

  • Healthy Diet: Diet will determine your recovery period as it will fasten the healing and recovery process. Fluctuation in weight will affect the newly-transplanted fat. So try to keep your weight stable. To keep your body running in peak shape, consume healthy fats like avocado, fish, spinach, kale, and fresh fruits.

  • Follow Postoperative Instructions: Swelling and tenderness in your lower back region will restrict you. Hence, you will need help with your chores. It is better to arrange for help beforehand. You should be aware of a few things that may or may not occur: Bruises, numbness, pain, and redness. Visit the facility for follow-up as told. All these points ensure a smooth recovery.

  • Stay Active: To stay active does not involve a rigorous workout or gym. Start slowly by getting up and taking a short stride. Within two months you can resume your routine exercise. Avoid driving cars or swimming where your buttocks will be soaked in the water.

  • Stay Hydrated: The procedure can leave you dehydrated so drink plenty of water. Also, it will help you flush out the tumescent fluid, further reducing the swelling.

  • Medication: To overcome your pain, your surgeon will prescribe you specific painkillers. Take only the prescribed medicines.

  • Be Patient: To achieve better results, you need to keep patience. Healing takes time. During the process, the swelling will increase, the buttocks may become disproportionate, and even after two months of healing, you may not be happy after the swelling subsides. It is because the final results are seen only after six months.

Bottom Line

Remember, every person’s body responds differently to surgical procedures. But it also depends on the patients, and how they care for themselves in their recovery phase. Because every step taken during this phase matters.
