Know about Cirrhosis of the Liver

Cirrhosis of the liver is a disease in which scar tissue replaces healthy liver cells over time. It's a slow-moving illness that takes years to develop. If left unchecked, scar tissue will eventually prohibit the liver from functioning. Cirrhosis requires long-term, ongoing damage to the liver to develop. When good liver tissue is destroyed and replaced by scar tissue, the situation worsens because blood flow through the liver might become obstructed.
