What kind of problem did you have?
I had been having abdominal pain for the last month. The pain would occur after eating food. I had already consulted a local physician in Mauritius, who advised me to get an ECG and a gastroscopy test. However, the tests did not reveal any abnormalities in the reports. Since I continued to feel the irritation and mild pain in my stomach, I was advised to get a colon scan.
How did you choose the hospital for your checkup?
I had to come to Chennai for some other reasons. So I decided to have the scan at the same time. While I was looking for the best gastroenterology hospitals in Chennai, somebody told me about Vaidam Health. How was your visit to India arranged?
After I decided to visit Global Hospital, the case manager helped me to get the Visa Invitation Letter from the hospital. The visa application process was also done by the Vaidam team. I only had to give my information. Other than this, the accommodation was also arranged by the team as per my preferences. My pickup and drop off from the airport was also arranged by team members. They facilitated my trip very smoothly.
What was your experience at the hospital?
After I arrived in India on 1st January, I was picked up from the airport and my appointment was scheduled with Dr. Vaithiswaran V, a senior gastroenterologist. He took a detailed medical history and heard me patiently. My physical examination was carried out and I was sent for further investigations. I was also referred to Dr. Sandeep Attawar who ordered to have an angiogram. After the reports, the doctor had a detailed session with me about the results and how I need to change my lifestyle to prevent further complications.
My entire medical visit at the hospital went on smoothly. The hospital staff and the Vaidam team assisted me in everything and were quite reliable. I am grateful to them.
