Scoliosis spine surgery requires tests such as a Radiograph to assess spinal instability, Myelogram, MRI, or CAT scan to identify nerve compression, and EMG to test nerve function. The cost for these tests is generally a part of the package.
Any medicines such as fentanyl, hydromorphone, morphine, oxycodone, oxymorphone, and tramadol given by the doctors or nurses at the hospital are included in the package. When the patient is discharged and has to buy the medication from outside the hospital, it will not be included in the package.
Generally, you need to spend 2 - 3 days at the hospital. Post the surgery, you will have to take rehabilitation outside the hospital for 2 to 9 months depending on your case, and follow up with the doctor.
