Hospitalisation Support
Before the Hypospadias repair surgery, your surgeon will take a thorough history for any evidence of infection or family disorders. A complete blood count (CBC) and urine test are done to check the body parameters. Apart from this, viral markers for HIV and Hepatitis are done as a routine pr-operative standard. All these tests are covered in the package.
When you are hospitalized, all the medicines cost are included in the package. If you buy any medicines outside the hospital during your stay, you have to pay for them separately.
Children must stay for at least two nights after the surgery for pain relief or antibiotic injections. You need to come back one week after the surgery to remove the dressing and catheter. After removing the dressing, you may apply an ointment to the area for the next few weeks to reduce the risk of infection. Follow-up visits three to six months after the procedure is necessary.
Complete healing will take up to 6 weeks. If you experience wound infection, skin necrosis, penile torsion, and bleeding after the surgery, you need to rush to your surgeon. If any of these complications occur, you may require more operations, which charges extra.
If the parents take an insurance policy after the baby is born, most insurance companies do not cover the treatment costs.
You can go for urethral mobilization. It is a good alternative to Hypospadias repair surgery with minimal complications.
