Bichectomy is an facial procedure which removes the adiposse tissue fat present inside the cheeks. The adipose tissues are known as bichats bag, they are not the essential component of your body and they are formed during the first year of your life in babies for chewing and sucking.
Bichectomy is usually recommended for those people who have a round and chubby face and despite of exercise and diet they look more wealthy.

In this procedure the fat from the inner side of tthe ckeek is reduced to remove the fullness of the cheek. When the procedure os done by an experienced surgeron this is cannot go wrong and you can get effective result.
The size of buccal fat diminshes with age, some people may get a lean and sharp face during their teenage but other people amy have a prominent cheek during their 30s and 40s.
You will experience some pain, discomfort and difficulty oin swallowing therefore it is recommended for you to have soft diet during your recovery from surgery
The volume of buccal fat present is around 8 to 10 cc and it easily removes around 7to 8cc of fat.
This is a very simple procedure and it is done under local anaesthesia. In this procedure first local anaesthesia is being administered and then a small incuisio is being made in the inner side of the cheeks and fat pad is being removed and reasorbable sutures are placed.
It will take around 15 to 20 minutes to perform this procedure
After surgery, you will have inflammation for about three to six months. Once the inflammation dissapearsin the lower third of the face, a greater projection is seen in the cheekbone which gives more elongated appearance to thje face.
Result can be seen after two weeks of the surgery when the swelling begins to subside. For complete result of teh procedure it will take around two to four months after the procedure.
It will take arounhd seven to ten days to recover after the procedure. You have to eat soft and semi liquid diet during the first few days after surgery. You will be recommended to rinse with mouth wash after the procedure.
After the procedure you need to sleep on your back by elevating your head.
Once the fat is removed from any area of the body it is not going to return and this is for buccal fat removal procedure also. You have to maintain the result of the procedure by following healthy lifestyle.
