Angioplasty and Stent Placement | USD 5400 to USD 6600 |
The package typically includes the cost of the tests too. The common ones before an augmentation cystoplasty include some blood tests such as glucose level tests, blood clotting tests, blood chemistry, and blood count test. Some other tests conducted for balloon angioplasty includes chest x ray and electrocardiogram.

Once the stent is open, the balloon is deflated. The catheter, guidewire, and deflated balloon are then removed, leaving the stent behind to hold the artery open and firm pressure will be applied to the site where the catheter was inserted to stop any bleeding. Balloon angioplasty is the procedure which is done to open the narrow or blocked arteries, in this procedure a balloon is being attached to a catheter which is then inserted into the artery at the place where the deposits of plaques have closed.
Balloon angioplasty is not a major surgery and the procedures are done under conscious sedation or under general anaesthesia and the procedure is done by threading a thin tube known as catheter through a small puncture in leg or in arm artery.
Angioplasty is done to increase the blood flow to and from heart and during balloon angioplasty a small balloon is attached at the tip of the cardiac catheter.
Balloon Angioplasty is very safe procedure even though you may get bruises feel sore or may have some bleeding where the tubes were inserted. Serious problems are not reported but there are chances of getting some serious issues such as bleeding, blood clots and narrowing or artery.
Balloon angioplasty is very effective it treats upto 97 percent of the cases and there is just 2 to 3 percent risk of coming back, then it can be treated with another stent.
The stent will expand when the balloon is inflated and remain in place when balloon is deflated and the procedure will lasts around 30 minutes to 2 hours.
Balloon Angioplasty is being done by Cardiologist
In balloon angioplasty procedure a small device with a small balloon on its tip is inserted through an artery in your leg and threaded through the arteries till it reaches the narrow area. The balloon is then inflated to flatten the plaque against the artery wall which opens the artery and restores the blood flow.
It will take around a week to recover from balloon angioplasty.
The stent is percent there is 2-3 percent risk of the narrow artery coming back but this is usually seen within six to nine months but it can be treated with another stent.
If there is no emergency then one week leave is enough after Angioplasty. If angioplasty is done in an emergency then you need to take rest for two week after the procedure.
