About Spine Surgery
Spine Surgery is the procedure of fixing the patient's anatomy of the backbone, such as removing a herniated disc for pain relief. These surgeries are mainly - Spinal fusion Laminectomy Foraminotomy Diskectomy Disk replacement Interlaminal implantation Scoliosis correction and fixation of a damaged or broken spine.
The correct specialist for performing any Spine Surgery is a Spine Surgeon; however, in a few cases, a Neurosurgeon and Oncologist are also required as per the condition.
The success rate in complete functioning restoration post-spine surgery is around 50%. In many cases, pain relief is 90%, but entire functioning is not restored. It entirely depends upon the age, cause of damage, and patient health.
